Everyone is welcome to our annual Christmas Traditional Lunch at 1pm in the newly refurbished Kitty O’ Shea’s under new management and cuisine. Price range and tastes to suit all appetites and pockets.
To follow lunch: International Christmas Party & Concert of Christmas carols & songs, Irish melodies, jazz & ragtime with Dénes Dosztán on Piano. (3pm to 6pm). If you cannot make the lunch, you and your friends are most welcome to come along and sing along at the party and concert – admission free.

Uilleann Pipes Workshop with Leonard Barry on October 10,2015
Workshop and solo-concert Leonard Barry, October, 10th 2015, ’t Ey Belsele
Leonard Barry grew up in County Kerry and started to play Irish traditional Music at the age of eight. When he reached the age of fifteen, he started to learn the Uilleann Pipes. He soon grew to be one of the leading pipers in Ireland. He contributed on more than thirty recordings of artists in the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany. In 2002, his First solo-cd ‘Mind the Pipes’ was received by the Irish Musical Press as ‘a classic debut’ which placed him amongst the great classical pipers who were his most important source of inspiration: Lliam O’ Flynn, Finbar Furey, Leo Rowsome and others. In 2014 his second solo-cd ‘A New Road’ was released, which again contained several master pieces of traditional piping.
Leonard will be giving a workshop for the
seasoned pipers in the afternoon (15 pm – 17.30 pm) and a solo concert in the evening (21 pm) for which he made a promise: ‘I’ll
bring some hardcore piping!’

- – Initiation for absolute beginners. There will be practice sets for those whohaven’t got an instrument of their own yet. Registration and reservation on before is necessary! (Teacher: Roger de Wouters)

Concert Tribute to Boy Soldier John Condon
Concert Tribute to John Condon Waterford Soldier and youngest Soldier killed in WW1 organised by Vlaanderen-Ierland.
October 3, 2015 at Concert Centre of Dranouter 8950, Dikkebusstraat 234-
West Flanders, Belgium.
It’s a tribute “- John Condon Age 14 ” ; A story about the Southern Irish Private John Condon based on the book of Flemish youth author Geert Spillebeen- completed with authentic Irish songs from the First World War. Vlaanderen-Ierland worked for more than a year to find the songs and to arrange the music. It’s a complete tribute to all the fallen Irish soldiers; but specially also to the many child soldiers who are currently the world ‘deployed’ to settle conflicts. This is also a tribute to all those children. Please inform your friends: Tickets can be bought in advance at 12 euro instead of 15 until September 30th.
